RJ Pettis is a Portland-based attorney whose practice sits at the intersection of law, commerce, and technology. With more than twenty years of professional experience spanning chemical engineering, global procurement, and active legal practice, RJ brings a rare combination of technical fluency and legal acuity to every matter he handles.

A graduate of the University of Maine School of Law and holder of a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Auburn University, RJ is licensed to practice in Maine. He also carries fifteen years of senior corporate experience — leading sourcing and procurement operations across more than twenty countries for companies including WEX Inc., Abbott Laboratories, and Arizona Chemical — giving him an instinctive understanding of how businesses actually operate, not just how they are governed.

Outside the office, RJ is equally relentless. He has completed fifteen marathons, an ultramarathon, logs miles on trails across Maine year-round, and has been a Sugarloaf season pass holder since 2018. He grew up in a town of fewer than 5,000 people — and has since made friends around the world.
